Charlotte E. “Betty” Pratt
WINTER PARK, FL- Charlotte E. “Betty” Pratt, 90, of N. Semoran Blvd., passed away Saturday (Jan. 30, 2016) in Westchester Assisted Living, Winter Park, FL.
     Born April 15, 1925, in Virginia, MN, she was a daughter of John B. and Beatrice Nelson Rosenquest.  On Oct. 13, 1951, in South Orange, NJ, she married E. Carroll Pratt, who died Dec. 9, 2009.
     Charlotte was a resident of Florida for some 45 years, having graduated from Rollins College, Winter Park, FL.  She was a professional tennis player before she retired.
     She was a former member of the United States Tennis Association, and a semi-finalist at Wimbledon and the US Open in 1956.
     Surviving are two sons, John C. Pratt of Orlando, FL, Richard C. (Dorothy) Pratt of Longwood, FL; a grandson, John Wilhelm; and a brother-in-law, Robert Nance.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, E. Carroll, a daughter, Beatrice A. Wilhelm, a brother, John B. Rosenquest, Jr., and a sister, Emily Nance.
     A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Port Allegany.
     Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
