Marjorie B. Adams
TURTLEPOINT- Marjorie B. Adams, 89, of Annin Creek Rd., passed away Sunday (Dec. 20, 2020) in the Lutheran Home at Kane.
      Born March 24, 1931, in Southampton, PA, she was a daughter of George P. and Clara Hellings Bloomer.  On Oct. 13, 1954, in Richboro, Pa, she married Russell J. Luff, who died June 22, 1969. In December 1969, she married Raymond Adams, who died August 1995.
     She was a graduate of Southampton High School, class of 1948.
     She was a resident of the area for 44 years, coming from Bucks County.
     Marjorie was a member of the First Church of God, Eldred, where she was a loved and valued member.  She was very active in the Smethport Senior Center, where she played the kazoo in the Kitchen Band, and was an avid line dancer. She accompanied the CROWN Band, when the song, “The Devils in the Phone Booth” was being played. She was a representative for the local AARP,  and was a member of the Red Hat Ladies of Smethport.
     She is survived by two daughters, Sharon L. (David) Carnahan of Jamison, PA, Darlene L. (Michael) Quiring of Bedminster, PA; a son, Dale R. Luff of Smethport; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, George W. (Dorothy) Bloomer of Palmyra, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Russell Luff and Raymond Adams.
     Because of the current social pandemic, a memorial service will be held at a later time & date to be announced.
    Memorials can be made to the First Church of God, Eldred.
    Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Switzer Funeral Home, Port Allegany.
